Orenburg region was included in the new tourist route “Three Urals in a Week”

Russia has developed a travel concept that will allow us to see the differences between the mountains of the Southern, Middle and Northern Urals in seven days. Orenburg Oblast is also included in the tourist route.

Everyone is invited to view the landscapes of the Southern, Middle and Northern Urals. This can be done by hiking along the Great Ural Trail. This is the longest mountain route in Russia, which is more than 2,500 kilometers long. And a new organized tour will shorten this study.

As part of one trip, tourists will visit Long Mountains and Iremel or Taganay National Park. They will walk through the Happy Mountains in the Visim Nature Reserve or visit the Arakul Shikhan, Mariinsk, and the Seven Brothers Rocks. They will climb Mount Kachkanar or Konzhakovsky Stone.

The project was initiated by the Great Ural Trail team. The Republic of Bashkortostan, Perm Krai, Orenburg, Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk Regions are participating in its implementation.

In the Orenburg region, the project is supported by the Tourism Development Center, the authors of the “Seven Peaks of the Ural Steppe” trip, the Orsk Tourist Information Center, the Directorate of Specially Protected Natural Areas of Regional Importance, and Orenburg State University.

Travel scenarios are currently being developed and the cost of tours is being calculated. Tour operators are joining the cooperation. The project is scheduled to be launched in the summer of 2024.

Travel between key points on the route will take place by bus or train. Travelers with different levels of demand and physical fitness will be able to go on the “Three Urals in a Week” tour.
