Russians talked about the cities they like to go to during the New Year holidays most of all. Analysts of the online accommodation booking service Sutochno.ru provide a list of parts of Russia where you can have a good rest in winter.

“Saint Petersburg was the most popular city, with 19% of respondents voting for it. Kaliningrad took the second place — 17%. For the sake of the purity of the experiment, they decided not to include Moscow in the list, but it is always in the top three,” TASS quotes Yuri Kuznetsov, founder and CEO of the service.

4,800 people took part in the survey. In total, the list includes 10 cities from different regions of Russia. In addition to St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad, Russians named Krasnaya Polyana — 13%, Veliky Ustyug — 12%, Kislovodsk — 11%, Kazan — 8%, Sheregesh — 7%, Sortavala — 6%, Derbent — 4% and Petrozavodsk — 3%.
