The nutritionist explained why overeating caviar is dangerous

Overeating red caviar can lead to allergic reactions and weight gain, Anastasia Chizhikova, a gastroenterologist and nutritionist, told Gazeta.Ru. According to her, it is recommended to limit the consumption of this product to 20-25 grams per day.

Red caviar is a high-calorie food. Overeating red caviar can lead to weight gain. Red caviar is also high in salt: 100 g contains approximately 3 g of salt. Consuming large amounts of salt can cause high blood pressure and other health problems, the doctor explained.

The consequences of overeating can be nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, swelling and allergies, said the gastroenterologist. To make red caviar sandwiches healthier, the nutritionist recommended using whole wheat bread instead of white bread and replacing butter with avocado. In addition, the recommended daily intake of caviar can be divided into several doses — for example, 10 g of caviar for breakfast and 10 g for dinner.

Caviar should be eaten slowly, thoroughly chewing each piece, the specialist advised. Do not eat caviar on an empty stomach and with other fatty foods.
