Experts reported that train tickets to Veliky Ustyug and hotel seats are fully sold out. The demand for New Year tours was a record over the past seven years.

“This year, the demand for New Year tours to the patrimony of Santa Claus, Veliky Ustyug, is the highest in seven to eight years. According to tour operators, train tickets and hotel seats are fully sold out,” the media write, citing experts from the Russian Union of Travel Industry.

The administration of the Velikoustyug municipal district clarified that 10,000 people have already checked into the city’s hotels. TASS adds that by the end of the holiday holidays, we may be talking about 100,000 guests. The demand for New Year tours to Santa Claus’s residence has increased by about 30% this year.
