Nutritionist Ivannikova: What dishes on the New Year’s table will slow down aging

Ekaterina Ivannikova, a medical expert and nutritionist, spoke about what dishes Russians can prepare for the New Year’s table in order to maintain their health.

According to the doctor, salads and vegetable dishes, four hundred grams a day, will be especially useful.

“For example, roasted beet hummus. It can be served with cold vegetables or a slice of bread. Beetroot has anti-inflammatory properties, protects the vascular wall, promotes the supply of nutrients and oxygen to the brain, heart and muscles,” said Ekaterina Ivannikova.

You can please yourself and your guests with baked Brussels sprouts and pumpkin with dried cranberries and Dijon mustard. According to Ivannikova, Brussels sprouts are rich in vitamins C and A, as well as glucosinolates.

These substances not only give the product a tart taste, but also help regulate the body’s anti-inflammatory system and prevent unwanted inflammation that underlies premature aging and many age-related diseases.
